While seated on a bench, in a striped sweater surrounded by a lush lawn, Princess Kate detailed her health battle.

"In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London. And at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous," she continued. "The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present."

Kate said it has "required investment" to properly make sense of her conclusion for her and Sovereign William's kids — Ruler George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Sovereign Louis, 5 — and "console them that I will be alright."


"As I've told them, I'm well. Also, getting more grounded consistently by zeroing in on the things that will assist me with recuperating. To me, body and spirits," she said. "Having William close by is an extraordinary wellspring of solace and consolation as well. Just like the adoration, backing and benevolence that has been shown by so many of you."
